How the checker works

Enter the problem exactly as written, then enter the answer you got. The checker works out the problem and compares the result with your answer. Fractions and expressions are accepted in both fields, so 3/8 and 0.375 match.

Slips it can spot

  • Working left to right instead of doing multiplication and division first
  • A flipped sign
  • An answer that is 10 or 100 times too big or too small
  • The reciprocal of the right answer
  • The wrong angle mode (degrees or radians) in sine, cosine and tangent problems
  • Rounding: if you round correctly, it tells you so
